Allison Epstein, MA, LPC has a passion for helping people of all ages. She brings a warm, compassionate presence to her work and strives to create a safe and supportive environment for her clients. Allison utilizes a client-centered, mindfulness-based approach, and seeks to apply therapeutic interventions that meet the unique needs of each client.
She has experience with children, adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, grief, parent-child relationships, behavioral challenges, developmental disabilities and issues related to autism spectrum disorders.
She integrates a wide variety of interventions in her work including Expressive Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family-focused Therapy, and solution-focused therapies. Allison received her dual masters degree from Lesley University in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Therapies.
Allison recently returned to her NJ roots, having worked in Massachusetts as a therapist and program coordinator for adults with non-verbal autism. Prior to this role, Allison was a therapist at an inpatient center for adolescents and adults with eating disorders.
Allison is currently working towards her certification as a play therapist.
Outside of the counseling center, Allison enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves to be outdoors, dance, laugh, cook, garden and relax.
