Temima Rothmel MSW, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who utilizes a client-centered, strength-based approach in her counseling work. She believes that everyone is unique, and focuses on the individualized needs of her clients. She values building a strong relationship with her clients to help achieve positive growth and to overcome the challenges they face.
Temima has experience assisting clients with depression, anxiety, grief/bereavement, ADHD, OCD, behaviors, LGBTQ issues, and low self-esteem. In her practice, she draws from a wide range of therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, Play Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
Temima has certifications in Trauma-Focused CBT and training in Sand Play Therapy, and received her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. Temima is also a certified yoga instructor.
In her free time Temima enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her pets and husband. She enjoys yoga and reading as well. Her favorite book series is Harry Potter.
