Gail Santamaria MSW, LSW is a Licensed Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting children and families. She helps families with issues related to adoption, abuse/neglect, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, behavioral/learning disabilities, developmental concerns, eating disorders, peer/sibling conflict, separation/divorce, and stress or anger management.
Gail began her career as a Certified School Social Worker and provided individual and group counseling to children with social and emotional challenges. She has also served as an Adoption Specialist working with families in pre and post adoption. She is passionate about working with children with early trauma and attachment struggles, and believes a loving, supportive family is a profound solution for hurting children.
Gail completed the Rutgers Adoption Certificate Program and continues to pursue further trauma and attachment-specific trainings. In addition, she has completed training in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and the Institute of Family Professional (IFP)’s Trauma Certification Program. Gail holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Fordham University. She received her BSW from Monmouth University, also minoring in psychology and dance.
Gail enjoys running, dancing, and spending time with her family. She is a sports fan and roller coaster enthusiast!
