Dawn Cappello is a graduate student at The University of Pennsylvania working on a Masters of Science Education (M.S.Ed.) in School and Mental Health Counseling. She is currently a Therapist-Intern at the Center for Counseling and Education (CFCE).
She approaches counseling through an integrative, person-centered, and method seeking lens to meet the needs of children, adolescents, and families. Her goal is to create a safe environment for exploration and reflection throughout her studies and practice. Cultivating a non-judgmental place for clients to reflect, develop and explore themselves and relationships is paramount. It is her hope that clients are able to develop techniques that will enable them to achieve their therapeutic goals.
Working with children and adolescents is a passion for Dawn. Helping children and adolescents with social, school based, and family struggles are among her many strengths.
Dawn received her Bachelors of Arts degree from Rider University with a dual major in English and Secondary Education. She has worked with children ages four through eighteen in the public school setting. Additionally, she spent time as an adjunct professor working with adults in higher education.
Dawn enjoys travel, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
